Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What suggestions do you have to make things go smoothly?

How do I make payments?

We accept cash, check, quick pay, Google Wallet and Venmo.  Please make checks out to “Bow Wow Meow Pet Care”. Payment for pet sitting is due on or before the first day of service. For daily visits, payment is due on the first pet sitting day of the week. We do not accept credit cards.

Do you need keys to my house?

Yes. We ask for two copies – one to use and one for backup. Our standard policy is to keep copies of your house keys. If you prefer that we exchange keys before and after each trip, we’ll accommodate. Please note that we charge $9 for this service.

How can I schedule a pet sit?

If you’re new to us, please call or email and we’ll schedule your free initial consultation. If you’re already a client, just call, email or text message us with the details and you’ll be set.

Phone/text: 407 443 2010
email: bowwowmeowpetcare@gmail.com

Do you work on weekends and holidays?

Yes. We work 7 days a week, holidays included. Please note that we do charge an additional $5 per visit on holidays.

Do you require a minimum number of visits?

No. We work to accommodate the needs of your travel and/or work schedules and your pet’s care.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We prefer 48 hours notice of cancellations, but also realize that emergencies happen.

Do you charge for giving medications?

No. Giving medications is included in the price of a standard visit. Depending on the medications we may ask for a practice round to ensure we have a complete understanding of your pet’s specific needs.

Do you offer services for pets other than dogs and cats?

Yes. While we focus on dogs and cats, we’ll take care of most pets. Just call and ask.

What happens if my pet gets sick while we’re away?

Thankfully, that rarely happens. We immediately call you. If you’re not reachable we do have your vet’s information on file so we’ll then call them. If they’re not available, we have relationships with other local vets so either way, your pet will get high quality care.

Do you have backup in case you’re not able to take care of my pets while I’m away?

We have relationships with other pet sitters in the area and we cover for each other in emergencies. Don’t worry, your pet’s needs are always in the forefront of our mind.

Can I schedule visits at the last minute?

Our schedule fills up quickly so we recommend at least 48 hours notice; but if we have time, we’ll gladly squeeze you in. While it’s always best to give as much notice as possible, if you’re in a jam, we’ll do our best to help out.

What do we do when we return home?

When you get home, let us know that you’ve returned so we don’t worry that your pet is without proper care. If we do not hear from you, we will attempt to contact you, and may come for another pet sit to ensure your pet(s) are safe and sound.

What if we get delayed coming home or need to extend our trip?

Let us know by phone, email or text message and we’ll take care of your pets during the additional time you’re away.

Are you bonded? Insured?

Yes. We are licensed, bonded and insured. Your pets and home are in good hands with us.

Can you give references?

Of course, we'll do all we can to ensure you're comfortable having us take care of your furry friends.  You can also see what clients have said about us on the Testamonials page.
